Rep. John Conyers Jr. (Dipshit-Mich.) has called on Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to demote the official coordinating Haiti relief efforts for not having enough minority staffers.

The House Judiciary Committee Chairman sent a letter to Clinton on Thursday after Rajiv Shah, administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, showed up at a meeting with the 42-member Congressional Black Caucus without any African American staffers in tow.

“I was alarmed and chagrined to learn that none of the approximately dozen staff he brought with him were African American,” Conyers wrote in the letter. “This is so serious an error in judgment that it warrants his immediate demotion to a subordinate position at AID.”

Now, I don't think that Mister Rajiv Shah is an anglo-saxon "honkey" or "cracker". The fact that he is administrator of U.S.A.I.D. says a lot for equal opportunity and non-discrimination. But you have to remember that for blacks activists, "minority" is a code word that means black. Crackers have been known to think of some Asians, Hispanics, and other groups as minorities, but blacks know that those people are just more racist oppressors and the only true minority is African-Americans.

Rep. John Conyers Jr. (Dipshit-Mich.) is an interesting character study. Or rather, a study in lack of character. The Blog Prof has the whole story with links. Remember Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech, where he spoke of being judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin? I do not believe Dr. King ever met Rep. Conyers.
